Empowering The Youth of Assin North To Meet Govt's Policy of 1-D 1-F

In line with Government's policy to bring prosperity to all Ghanaians especially the Youth through the #onedistrictoneonefactory policy , #AssinmanYesWeCan in collaboration with Assin North Municipal Assembly and other stakeholders are taking a giant step in empowering the Youth throughout Assin North in series of workshops and seminars to prepare them for better opportunities.

Taking a look at the target industries of the policy, the initiative is tackling Youth in IT and Agric for the start. The initiative in collaboration with the Municipal Assembly and other stakeholders are organising a two-day workshop for Youth in IT. This workshop targets Youth who are into small scale Mobile Phone business, IT Centres, Internet Cafés, etc. Venue shall be The Municipal Assembly Hall, Assin Foso and the proposed dates are 7th and 8th of September 2017.

For equity sake, the Agric Forum shall be held at Assin Bereku. In terms of Agricultural activities it can be confirmed that Assin North leads in farming activities especially in Cocoa, Palm, Citrus, Rice, Cassava, Plantain and many more.

The Initiative shall use these opportunities to also build a comprehensive database for the Youth in the Municipality so as to easily identify, locate and offer support to them when necessary.
